as promised

20006! Here we go! :) happy new year indeed! :) we (jem, cheryl, daniel, and his friends from melbourne elsie and stacey) were at times square to usher in the new year! :) i will talk bout the new year things eventually when i do up my picture guide thing. at the moment, i stupidly assumed that i wouldnt need the charger for my camerca batt. so its dying. and of course, i had to leave the cable to transfer files back in cville.

resolution: be kiasu - bring everything

in any case. as promised... the PEOPLE of new york city!

this trip has been very interesting in the sense that i spent all my time with new friends.
1. song and jem - dont quite count since i have met them back in UVa but being travel buddies is good stuff. SONG - fly over now! nasi lemak can wait i promise. in any case, i learnt more bout jem's outrageousness. in EVERYTHING.

2. cheryl - who has been the darlingest accounting person i know (then again, i know no accountants i think). ha kidding. but she's been such a lovely! and best of all, she's FUN. and makes you laugh! goood good gooood gooood. and go shopping with her folks, she keeps you grounded. :)no wonder jem needs her so badly.

3. daniel - who has been the most versatile host i ever met. and i am not even staying at his place (most of the time anyway). let's see, he's got plumbing skills (mom - i think i get toilet bowls stuck everywhere), driving skills (new york city style), eating skills (brings you to the best places for makan), shopping skills (can tahan our whole day escapades for many subsequent days)... put simply, he's such a great fellow i cant describe enough. girls... need an email add? :)

4. joanne - long story cut short, we can safely 'categorise' her as a family friend cum senior. warm and welcoming! we attended sri kl primary together and she's forever topping the level. check out trophy cupboard please! and now she's in NY doing arty-farty graphics! :) yay! :) was very nice meeting up with her and her bunch of wonderful friends. we had jap food. long line though but FOOOD was good. so am not complaining. :) i will def need to meet up with her again b4 heading back to cville! :)

ok i have gotta go and so will continue AS PROMISED. :) get it? ha
