IT police officer
i have decided that "IT police officer" aptly describes my job. (please hold your gasps/comments.) so you know how there are financial auditors who check that your finances are sound and properly documented? well, i support them. IT is used (increasingly) to document finances/business processes and as such, it's IMPORTANT to ensure that these IT applications are designed and operating effectively. and that's where i come in. i am the "IT professional" who checks to ensure that controls are in place so that the evidence that is generated for our financial auditors is reliable.
now you MUST be wondering - HOW ON EARTH DID YOU LAND THAT ROLE? trust me, i ask myself the same question too. i am completely clueless at work and my seniors are typically surprised at my college majors. haha.
i have never felt more inept in my life and this is QUITE the challenge. so, let's just say that i could use a miracle and for once in my life, i wish i had taken a COMPUTER SCIENCE class in college. i never thought i would say that but it's true.
so this is it yo.
on another note, i love the wok i bought from ikea. it's the best thing ever!!!!! i fried an egg and somehow, it tastes better than usual. not that i am great at frying eggs. in fact, i am quite bad at it. but i tried!!
ok peace peace.
