the new hood
i must say that the whole moving process is QUITE the challenge so kudos to those of you (i pretend that i have many readers) who have relocated 300 times the past decade. it's suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch a pain in the neck. i have acquired maybe 300 bruises because of the 300 boxes i was carting from one place into the another. my friend was telling me that i needed iron pills but i think i just need movers because those boxes are HEAVY yo.
having miraculously moved all the boxes in my new apartment, i had to ASSEMBLE furniture. i used to enjoy lego but ikea is no lego. IF you're competent enough, you might get a piece of hardy, minimalist furniture as promised. if not, i think building pirate ships might be a better bet. in any case, thank you laura for helping me assemble my bed frame! (yes, bed frame indeed.)
then you have to do all the unpacking i.e. be clever with organizing all the items you have accumulated the last 300 years. my mom is terrific at that but i don't seem to have inherited that trait. but i tried anyway!
so, in case you were wondering how my new place looks...

JUST KIDDING.
you will just need to visit to check it out!
p.s. i am still missing a desk/chair so those make perfect house-warming gifts! HAHA.
