the sun is up again! almost in anticipation of the loving tenderness that will happen TONIGHT because it's valentine's day. :)
so far, i have come across 3 "groups" of people.
1. the ones who ADORE valentine's day, mainly because they each have a significant other who adores them. pretty straightforward.
2. the ones who DETEST valentine's day for many reasons - commercialization, too mushy, lack of significant other etc. a little tricky because they tend to be misunderstood as being envious.
3. the ones who EMBRACE it for the fun of it! some send their friends scandalous messages, dress up in red, send candy to their children in college. rather amenable folks!
so, regardless of what you think of Feb 14th, i just want to say:
HAVE A WONDERFUL AND (HOPEFULLY) LOVE-FILLED DAY!
ideally, we wouldn't need a designated day to show our affection for one another but the world's not perfect.
but it's amazing.
like THIS heart nebula:

p.s. this whole "grouping" exercise is super arbitrary so please don't take me seriously. at all.

'loving tenderness that will happen tonight'???
anyhowly raise my expectations - thought you gg to write abt torrid romance with your american boyfriend. and then suddenly change topic and write about boring groups of people. apalah si mun chin ni.
actually, the people who DETEST valentines day piss me off. go home and eat a sour lemon ['lamen' for sheena, 'limau' for william] with your pet cat or sthg.
i think valentines day is fun. i wrote messages on pretty slips of paper for all my friends and gave everyone in sch chocolate.
what i DONT like about vday is the ridiculous thing about showing off bouquets of flowers at the office/sch. so LAME.
they shd just donate all the bouquets to the cranky people eating lemons at home.

aiyoh sheela,
relax lah sikit!
i think valentine's day is pretty fun too. i wrote plenty of sketchy messages for my friends and had a big fat laugh about it! love it, love it.
you should suggest the lemons trick to those who hate the day.
the show-offs? leave them be? nothing wrong with helping their (lack of) self-esteem!
