econ major declared!

hello family and friends,

after decades (well, not quite) of battling a misunderstood/misinterpreted system, i am finally an economics major. and yes, you are talking about those snooty individuals who use jargons to mystify the world's simple processes. that does not apply to me because i wouldn't call myself an economist.

but i have to give some of them credit. contrary to popular belief, those simplified theories/models are rather useful. and in my opinion, very insightful. as you can probably tell, i have been recently inspired by an economist. who happens to be my international trade professor, emily blanchard. of course she is absolutely brilliant (most professors are, but they just don't convey that through their teaching). and funny. and you know, the whole great teacher deal. but i think she cares.

which is pretty neat and refreshing for the reportedly cold realm of economics (really, SOME economists do care).

it's not just about the money.
