men and 300

hello folks! so apparently my computer KINDA works. gopal has been a wonderful technician, and so he replaced the internal hard drive with the external. and voila, it's working for the moment! but i can't put it on standby or it'll die. either way, i need a new computer because there is something wrong with this machine. CLEARLY.
but i need to point this (an utterly unrelated fact) out.
jennani and i were having a(n) msn conversation and we came to the conclusion that:
1. men are encouraged to be meaty. we like meaty men.
2. if they are meaty, they appear less so anyway because they hide the paunch under a big(ger) tee.
3. i have had too many moments (in the gym - yes, i do go there... at times) hearing boys go 'hey, did you manage to GAIN some weight?' or 'hey, did that protein mix work?' good grief.
now reflect on the (extreme) contrary for women.
and here's a priceless quote from jennani the wise:
if evolution was right, then men would go after the fat girls, due to their supposed ease in popping out children.
i couldn't agree more. obviously evolution isn't the best bet to life.
and on another completely unrelated note, you have to catch this movie:

this is what we read in greek civilization. only that my friend, matt had to 'remind' me of the whole battle. well, you can't possibly have READ the entire book by herodotus.
p.s. pictures for the fun of it.
the cowboy one was for hoe down (where we roasted multiple hotdogs and s'mores), L-R: jaime knauf ("redneck prep"), rena burbey (she had the cutest overalls gear!)
and the other one was taken 2 weeks ago at shu-en's 21st birthday party. and that's guan ming, who doesn't appear too happy.
p.p.s. yes my finals are still going on. i cannot wait to see gill and her CHINs.
