spring break and more

so there was spring break. seems like it was ancient years ago... school is so incredibly crazy, i sometimes marvel at how i was sucked into the whole notion of american FUN in college. maybe not honey!
so yes i had spring break. was off to a bible retreat in goshen, approx 1.5hours away from cville. your soap tv camp. wooden cabins and lodges. surrounded by vast forests (& mountains in this case). i gazed out at night once and cannot help but feel how WONDERFUL Creation is. and how Beautiful our Creator is. :)
got back and worked for 20hours in clemons library, before heading out to richmond (capital of virginia) to spend all that i worked for. haha. i stayed with a hallmate of mine, janani. she lives in one nice community. think quintessential american homes, no fences but plenty of green. felt like dollhouses to me. in short, very pretty! she lives across the mall and so we spent half a day there. before heading to carytown, which is nearer to the heart of the city. very quaint stretch of shophouses. and attractive retailers! we had awesome burgers at this famous diner-like place called carytown burgers & fries. such good burgers, i think the best i have ever tasted. and my turkey patty tasted like beef. i had a philly with mushrooms and mozarella. yummy. ooozing with grease though. i am learning to appreciate grease. ha.
then we headed to watch the chronicles of narnia at an old opera house turned cinema place called the byrd. very ornate on the inside!
i left the next afternoon. :(
it has been a week since, but as mentioned. it feels like eternity. i cannot wait till summer. i am basking in thoughts of warm, humid KL. not forgetting the things i plan to do then (such as weightloss).
by the way, i discovered what an avid escapist i am. in all seriousness, reality is not my cup of tea.
mom & dad, do you think you could fly me home before next week (i have 4-5 midterms!!)?
p.s. i love burgers!
guide to pictures:
