washington d.c & a cold

washington d.c. rocks! i could live there forever (i think). was there for 1 day. visited multiple museums and historical sites etc. but didnt spend much time at each spot! :( unfortunately.. but erm, the places include: lincoln memorial center, war memorial, natural history museum (dinosaurs!!!!), art museum (went for an italian renaissance art tour - rather interesting!), erm, the white house (fenced up and all - they really are afraid of attacks), georgetown park (which is an extremely quaint and nice shopping area)!

the city is a neat hybrid of bricks and trees. which is why i like it. when i entered DC i exclaimed "look! highrise buildings!" i havent seem them in ages. and jen was like "GASP!". quite a scene.

they have a good subway system called the metro. but the stations cd do with more lights. it makes it all very easy to get assaulted, esp at night! anyway, it was all very exciting, we took a picture of ourselves while on the train. very country bumpkinish.

anyway, i came home ill. got a cold! and its not nice getting a cold in a cold country. :( my feet are perpetually ice-blockish. and i have been sleeping a lot. took multiple panadols etc. but hmmm, it doesnt seem to go away. which is horrid. cos i have 2 tests tomorrow and the day after! and more assignments due. the american test sys is crazy! everything adds up! so you need to do consistently well. which i think is mad. good ol' brits.and jen got herself a broken toe. its one of those toe-banging events tt she is extremely prone to, unfortunately this one was severe-r. she's got her 2nd toe buddytaped to the 3rd. eeep.
